A number of machines in central PC clusters have been designated specially for use by disabled students. These machines are available for use by all, but priority is given to disabled students.

University Place - first floor

The University Place cluster has one accessible workstation with the following facilities:

  • Height adjustable desk and chair
  • 19" monitor
  • Trackball mouse
  • Large key keyboard
  • Scanner

Access Issues: 

Owens Park

Owens Park Halls of Residence has one accessible workstation with the following facilities:

  • Height adjustable desk and chair
  • Trackball mouse available on request
  • Scanner

Access Issues: Wheelchair friendly room
Accessible Toilet:

John Rylands University Library

The John Rylands University Library building has eight accessible workstations with the following facilities:

  • Height adjustable desk and chair
  • Wider desk
  • Trackball mice on some desks
  • Equipment available on request from the Disability Officer, (Gavin Park) on the ground floor

Joule Library - F floor

Joule Library has one accessible workstation with the following facilities:

  • Height adjustable desk and chair

Access Issues: Lift to E floor and lift to library
Accessible Toilet: Within the Library on E floor
